MOSCOW, April 11 Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko after seven in the evening, after which they will continue the conversation over a working lunch, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“In the evening, we expect after seven in the evening, the part dedicated to the working visit to Moscow of the President of Belarus will begin «Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko. There will be a conversation between the two presidents and they will continue their conversation at a working lunch,» Peskov told reporters. At the same time, he noted that a press conference following Putin’s meetings with Lukashenko is not expected.
As Lukashenko’s press service previously reported, the president will go on a two-day working visit to the Russian Federation on Thursday. A one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in Moscow on April 11. The heads of state will discuss the development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and issues that require consideration at the highest level. The focus of the negotiations will also be the regional and international situation, coordination of actions to respond to existing challenges and threats, the press service noted.
According to it, on the second day of the visit, April 12, the presidents “plan joint event on the occasion of Cosmonautics Day.» The heads of state will sum up the results of the mission to the ISS, where the crew of the Union State worked for the first time in history. The presidents will talk with astronauts and discuss further prospects for cooperation in the space sector.
