MOSCOW, April 13 Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev played a training match with 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal ahead of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, which has a prize fund of more than €2.7 million.
The warm-up match, which consisted of one set, ended for the sixth racket of the world Rublev with a defeat with a score of 1:6.
Nadal has won the Barcelona tournament 12 times, which is a competition record. Due to injuries, the 37-year-old Spaniard played four matches in 2023 and three more in January this year. The tournament in Barcelona, which will take place from April 15 to 21, will be Nadal's first in three months.
