The Chinese manufacturer has so far declassified the appearance of the refreshed crossover. It is known that during the modernization the output of the “older” motor was increased.
The Haval brand is part of the Great Wall concern. The history of the H6 SUV began in 2011, and the second generation was introduced in 2017. The current third-generation crossover debuted in 2020. By the way, this SUV has a couple of separate versions, different in design from the standard one: hybrid and coupe-shaped. Let us remind you that the H6 family still includes a second-generation crossover. And the current SUV has now received its share of changes.

Last summer, the Chinese manufacturer published several pictures of a restyled version of the current Haval H6. Then it was expected that an SUV with exactly this appearance would debut before the end of 2023. But time passed, and that refreshed version never appeared on the list of premieres. The other day, the new H6 was officially announced, and as the next generation. The company accompanied the announcement with a series of teasers showing a different exterior: not the same as the current version, and not the one that was shown last summer.
Now some of the technical characteristics and the appearance of the new product have been declassified. As it turned out, the model still waited for the planned restyling, although not with the exterior that was expected less than a year ago. The updated Haval H6 retains the same in-plant index, which received the current “third” crossover (CC6470).
The restyled Haval H6 has a different front design. Thus, the model received a large radiator grille of a different shape, as well as with a pattern consisting of glossy horizontal “strokes”. Other changes affected the head optics: the shape and design of the main headlight blocks remained the same, but now they are complemented by seemingly “flowing” vertical running lights. The air intake at the bottom of the front bumper looks more laconic.
The sides remained approximately the same, but the stern also received a portion of changes during the restyling. The headlights are now separated, and in place of the strip that previously united them, the refreshed Haval H6 has an inscription with the name of the brand, made in large letters. It also has reflectors at the bottom of the rear bumper located horizontally, and not at an angle, as before. The shark fin antenna on the roof and the spoiler on the top of the tailgate remain in place.
There is no official information about the dimensions of the new Haval H6 yet. According to preliminary data, the new crossover is 50 mm longer than the current standard third-generation crossover (other parameters are the same). Note that the current H6 stretches 4653 mm in length, 1886 mm in width, 1730 mm in height, and its wheelbase is 2738 mm. The interior has not yet been declassified; it is expected that the interior of the restyled H6 will be decorated in the same style as that of the Xiaolong Max, which was declassified in China last spring.

The updated Haval H6 still has a 1.5-liter turbo-four as its base engine. According to Chinese media, its output has been reduced to 177 hp. (the current version has 184 hp). At the same time, the power of the top-end 2.0-liter turbo engine, on the contrary, was increased — from 211 to 231 hp. As before, they will be paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Details about the restyled hybrid version are expected later.
Probably, the full premiere of the new Haval H6 will take place as part of the Beijing Motor Show starting soon. Prices for the restyled crossover will be announced later. The starting price of the current standard H6 in China is 115,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 1.54 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
