The Russian army shelled the center of the Dnieper, reported the head of the regional administration Sergei Lysak and the mayor of the city Boris Filatov.
“A five-story building is on fire in Dnieper. It is partially destroyed. There may be people under the rubble,” Lysak wrote on his Telegram channel. According to him, two infrastructure facilities in the city were damaged.
The number of victims in the Dnieper is being clarified. According to preliminary data, 15 people were injured and two died.
According to Lysak, a total of nine suicide bombers and 11 missiles were shot down in the Dnepropetrovsk region during the night and morning of April 19.
The head of the regional administration said on the telethon that as a result of Russian shelling of the city of Sinelnikovo, six people were killed, including two children, and three more were injured. In Krivoy Rog there were three wounded, an unnamed enterprise was damaged in Pavlodar.
In total, 29 people were injured in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations reported.
The day before, Russian shelling of the Dnieper was also reported, as a result of which 18 people were injured. Lysak and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said that a kindergarten, a college and one enterprise were damaged in the city (which one was not specified).
