The US House of Representatives passed a bill to allocate $61 billion in military aid to Ukraine, CNN said online.
311 congressmen voted for and 112 voted against. “The democrats applauded and waved Ukrainian flags during the voting,” journalists reported. Now the package must be approved by President Joe Biden.
Of the $99 billion package, $61 is intended for Ukraine. The United States will be able to transfer long-range ATACMS missiles to Kyiv. In addition to Ukraine, the package provides assistance to Israel and Taiwan.
The decision on the documents has been delayed since last fall.
