A 68-year-old pensioner who created an organized crime group and illegally issued loans totaling a billion rubles was detained in Volgograd. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, in her Telegram channel.

“The organizer of the group is a 68-year-old local resident. Four of her friends were looking for citizens who wanted to get loans from banks,” said Volk.< /p>

After the victims received loans, the criminals took half of the funds for themselves, promising to repay the debt to the banks in a timely manner. They used the money received in this way to pay off previously accumulated debts, and then again looked for new “clients.”

Criminal cases were initiated against the detainees under the article on illegal banking activities. During the searches, 13 expensive cars were found from the gang members, and almost 30 million rubles were confiscated.
