The Nizhny Novgorod District Court imposed a fine of thousands of rubles on the leader of the Metal Corrosion group, Sergei Troitsky (Spider), finding him guilty under the article on displaying Nazi paraphernalia (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by a RIA Novosti correspondent from the courtroom.
The Baza Telegram channel, without indicating sources of information, writes that the reason for the protocol was the group’s merch, on which the police saw a Kolovrat badge. Troitsky said in court that “the group does not promote prohibited symbols,” and the icon on the merch is a spider with legs, not a Kolovrat.
Soon the court considered the cases of two guitarists of “Corrosion of Metal” under the same article, they were also assigned a thousand rubles each.
On the evening of April 27, security forces disrupted the concert of “Corrosion of Metal” in a Nizhny Novgorod club «Hatred». The visitors were laid face down on the floor, and some were beaten. The director of the group, Runova, wrote Baza, was diagnosed with a concussion, and one of the concert organizers received a severe bruise to his finger.
