TYUMEN, April 29 Fourteen settlements of the Abatsky district of the Tyumen region were cut off from the mainland due to the flood of the Ishim River, the head of the district Igor Vasilyev said in a video commentary to the information center of the regional government.
“As of today, more than 1,300 people have been evacuated, because we have 14 settlements cut off from the mainland, 11 regional roads are closed by water. Four boat crossings are operating, life support has been established,” Vasiliev said.

The day before, the municipal administration said that 1,327 people were evacuated in the area, of which 730 were in the village of Abatskoye. There are 187 people in five temporary accommodation centers, including 60 children.

According to 14.00 (Moscow time) Monday, the water level in the Ishim River in the village of Abatskoye reached 1217 centimeters, the critical level of the dangerous phenomenon for this settlement is 960 centimeters.
Previously it was reported that the tense flood situation in the Abat region could persist until May 15.
A state of emergency due to flooding in the Tyumen region was introduced on April 8. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations as of Monday, in 32 settlements of the region, 188 residential buildings, 523 country houses, 2894 personal plots, 22 sections of roads were flooded.
