MOSCOW, April 30Tomsk State University will begin training specialists in working with unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
“The new basic higher education program “Technologies for the design and control of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)” will start in 2024/2025 at Tomsk State University, a participant in the pilot project to update the higher education system,” the message says.

In this year's admissions campaign, the recruitment of applicants for the new program will be carried out in the areas of «ballistics and hydroaerodynamics» physics Faculty of Technology (20 budget places), as well as “innovation” of the Faculty of Innovative Technologies (10 budget places).
The new program will contain 3 professional tracks related to the management of both the UAS themselves and the infrastructure of unmanned systems.
Based on the results of the training, the student can receive two working specialties: UAV operator and designer-draftsman.
