In the city of Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk region, former prisoner Ivan Kumov, who returned from the war in Ukraine, beat to death a veteran of the war in Chechnya, Alexei Khudyakov. The wife of the murdered man, Olga, told Ura.ru about this.
When exactly this happened is unknown. According to the woman, “at the end of April” her husband went to the pharmacy to buy allergy pills.
“Witnesses to the incident said that they saw my husband lying by the car, and Kumov was nearby and shouted that this was what he [Khudyakov] needed,” Olga said.
The man died from his injuries in the hospital. The woman contacted the police, but the security forces, having learned that Kumov had returned from the war after being wounded, sent his case to the military investigation department for the Chebarkul garrison. The former prisoner has not yet been detained. The family of the murdered man sent appeals to supervisory authorities regarding this matter.
According to Ura.ru, in 2019, Kumov staged a pogrom in the Chebarkul bar “From Dusk Till Dawn” because he was not given a portion of shish kebab. The Sirena telegram channel, having studied the data of the Chelyabinsk courts, clarifies that the man pushed a visitor to the establishment, which is why she hit her head on the bar counter, and left. Returning to the bar late in the morning, the former prisoner beat his guard with a metal chair.
Having been released less than a year later, Kumov and his friends stole a car, taking the keys from the owner in the parking lot (Part 1 of Article 166 of the Criminal Code). He was sentenced to two years and nine months in a maximum security colony. It is unknown where exactly the man was recruited for the war.
