MOSCOW, May 4. Inter Milan players interrupted their A 28-match unbeaten streak in the Italian championship this season, losing away to Sassuolo in the 35th round match.
The meeting, which took place in Reggio Emilia on Saturday, ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the hosts. The only goal was scored by Armand Loriente in the 20th minute.
Inter suffered their first defeat as Italian champions this season. Simone Inzaghi's team has not lost in Serie A since September 27, 2023, when the Nerazzurri lost to Sassuolo (1:2). Inter still have 89 points.
Sassuolo was the only team in the current season of the national championship that managed to beat Inter. The Neroverdi interrupted their six-match winless streak, scored 29 points and are in 19th place in the Serie A table. Sassuolo is two points away from relegation-saving 17th place.
