
MOSCOW, May 5. Toronto Maple Leafs hockey players lost “Boston Bruins” in the seventh game of the first round series of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The meeting, which took place in Boston, ended with the home team winning in overtime with a score of 2:1 (0:0, 0:0, 1:1, 1:0). For the Bruins, Hampus Lindholm scored a goal in regulation time (51st minute), and David Pastrnak (62) scored the winning goal in overtime. William Nylander scored for the guests (50).
Toronto's Russian goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov saved 29 out of 31 shots and was recognized as the third star of the match. Maple Leafs defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin blocked one shot and made ten power moves.
The score in the series up to four wins became 4-3 in favor of Boston. The Bruins advanced to the second round of the NHL playoffs, where they will meet the Florida Panthers.
