NIZHNY NOVGOROD, May 5. The Kirov region entered the top 10 regions of Russia in terms of industrial production growth, reports the press service of the regional government.
A report on the socio-economic situation in Russia for January-March 2024 was published by the Federal State Statistics Service. The report names regions with maximum and minimum growth in industrial production. 
< br />«The Kirov region is among the subjects of the Russian Federation with the maximum growth — with an index of 120.3 compared to the level of the same period last year. This is the sixth result in the country. Thus, the Kirov region is among the ten strongest regions of Russia in terms of industrial growth dynamics» , — the message says.
It is noted that based on the results of the first quarter of 2024, the Kirov region also entered the top 10 leading regions in terms of production growth in the manufacturing industry.
As Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko noted at a recent meeting with the Governor of the Kirov Region Alexander Sokolov, in the year of the 650th anniversary of the city of Kirov, the region shows high socio-economic results.
