MOSCOW, May 7. In Russia, 65 natural fires were extinguished over an area of more than seven thousand hectares in one day, Avialesookhrana reported on the Telegram channel.
«According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 24 hours on May 6, 2024, in 15 regions of Russia, forest fire forces extinguished 65 forest fires on an area covered by fire of 7,261 hectares,» the release says.
By midnight on May 7, there were 60 forest fires in the country, their total area was 69,676 hectares. The fires were being actively extinguished.
The largest area of fires is in the Jewish Autonomous Region, there were seven fires on 18,732 hectares.
