The detention of the minister became known from the press service of the head of Bashkiria — law enforcement officers suspected the official of receiving a bribe. The amount of the bribe was not specified. After this, the head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, fired Klebanov and stated that there was no place for embezzlers and bribe-takers in his team.
Klebanov has served as Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic since December 2022.
