
LUGANSK, May 7. Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik in his Telegram channel congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on taking office, noting that residents of the region will never forget who supported their desire to be with their country.
«Residents of the region will never forget who supported our desire to be with our country. By whose decisions and whose will historical justice was restored. To whom the Luhansk region owes its current development and faith in the future,» Pasechnik wrote. He emphasized that it was a great honor for him to attend the inauguration ceremony, “an important historical event both for the entire state and for the Lugansk People’s Republic, a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation.”
The head of the region noted that the whole country expressed confidence in Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections, and only he is seen at the helm of the state in these difficult times. “For us, his name is associated with the preservation of the integrity of the country, its traditions and spirituality, freedom and strength. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s accession to the presidency is our common victory. Victory for Russia,” concluded Pasechnik.
The inauguration ceremony of Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in the Kremlin on May 7. After officially taking office, Putin received the parade of the Presidential Regiment on Cathedral Square in the Kremlin, then the president came to the Annunciation Cathedral, where the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' served a thanksgiving prayer service on the occasion of the inauguration.
Presidential elections in Russia were held from March 15 to 17, according to their results, the current president received 87.28% of the votes. He will hold the highest elected post for the next six years — until 2030.
