SAMARA, May 9. A truck and a car collided in the Volzhsky district of the Samara region, as a result, three people were killed and one was injured, the regional State Emergency Service of Russia reported in its Telegram- channel.
Information about the collision between a Skoda car and a DAF truck was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations at 13.02 Moscow time. The accident occurred on the 29th kilometer of the federal road R-229 «Samara-Pugachev-Engels-Volgograd» near the village of Chernovsky in the Volzhsky region. 
«As a result of the accident, 3 people died (two men and a woman), one person (a man) was injured, (he) was hospitalized at the Samara Regional Clinical Hospital named after. V.D. Seredavina,» the department said in a statement.
The causes and circumstances of the accident are being established by law enforcement officials.
