The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, reported on his telegram channel about a drone attack on the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat enterprise in the south of the republic.
According to him, the company continues to operate despite the fire. There is no information about casualties yet. Emergency services are on the scene.
The authors of the Baza telegram channel write that the drone hit the catalytic cracking unit of the plant. A fire occurred, but the company’s employees were not evacuated.
The distance from the Ukrainian border to the city of Salavat is at least 1,500 kilometers. In early April, Ukrainian drones attacked several enterprises in neighboring Tatarstan — then it was the longest drone strike on Russian territory — about 1,200 kilometers from the border.
