Strongmen set more than ten Russian and world records in Moscow

SIMFEROPOL, May 11. Strongmen set more than ten records in Russia and world at the exhibition-forum «Russia» in Moscow, the press service of the International Heroic Movement «The Strongest Nation in the World» reported.
Records were set within the framework of the strongman show tournament «Bogatyrs», the achievements were recorded by a group of experts.
““More than ten spectacular records were set during the show,” the press service said.
In particular, Sergei Kharlamov lifted a log weighing 140 kilograms, thereby setting a Russian record among veterans over 50 years old. Ramil Ramazanov and Dmitry Logunov updated the Russian record for lifting a pair of logs weighing 250 kilograms, lifting it five times. Sergei Agadzhanyan, nicknamed “Russian Hulk,” and Yuri Kolmakov set a Russian and world record for extreme stage performance, destroying 79 objects in 30 minutes, including aluminum frying pans, rubber medical heating pads and galvanized steel rods.

In addition, Dmitry Samoilov performed a deadlift of the Apollo Axis apparatus weighing 260 kilograms, standing on a board with yoga nails, and together with Roman Druzhinin they set a world record for paired deadlifts on the sadhu board of the same apparatus, but already weighing 400 kilograms.

Dmitry Samoilov also lifted the Atlas stone weighing 145 kilograms onto his shoulder in 13.5 seconds, setting a record among juniors under 23 years old.
The Russian and world record was set by Alexander Klokov, who covered ten meters in 22.26 seconds with two suitcases weighing 200 kilograms each. Alexander Kuzmin performed nine repetitions in a minute in the shmung press from the chest of a five-pound weight (82 kilograms) with a diameter of 50 millimeters above his head with his right hand after picking up the weight using the snatching method. Dmitry Logunov performed the same exercise with the same apparatus, but with his left hand, three times in a minute. Pavel Dudakov set the Russian record for driving slate nails into a board with his bare hands in five minutes, hammering 29 hundred-millimeter nails during this time.

According to the President of the International Heroic Movement «The Strongest Nation in the World» Mikhail Paller, the strongest athletes of Russia, from Irkutsk to Crimea, took part in the show tournament.
The international exhibition and forum «Russia» is taking place on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
