MOSCOW, May 10. Export Day, dedicated to the national project «International Cooperation and Export» started on May 10 at the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia» at VDNKh, reports the Russian Export Center (part of VEB.RF).
«The program of events was opened by a plenary session in the format master lectures “Opportunities of the future: international cooperation and export”, dedicated to the role of non-resource, non-energy exports in the Russian economy, success stories of our companies and the image of the future — development goals, new export geography and an updated national project, the message says.
The lecture participants were greeted by First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Osmakov and REC General Director Veronika Nikishina.
In turn, the general producer of the Voronezh Animation Studio Vladimir Nikolaev, the general director of the medical equipment supplier Liston Yuri Saprygin, the executive director of the EFKO group of companies Sergei Ivanov, the chief designer of Transmashholding shared the export experience of their companies in various fields » Evgeny Maslov, as well as Deputy General Director of Rosatom State Corporation Kirill Komarov.
The moderator was economic observer, presenter of the TV channel «Russia 24» Alexander Kareevsky.
“Export is a very important and fundamental topic for the development of the country. Its significance is directly determined by Russia’s course towards achieving technological sovereignty, which cannot be ensured without our subjectivity on the map of foreign economic relations. Export creates large markets and economies of scale necessary for the development of new breakthrough technologies. This what our companies are already doing in Africa, and what remains to be done in Asia and Latin America. The updated national project “International Cooperation and Export” is designed to help them with this,” Osmakov said.
“I want to once again draw attention to the fact that over the past few decades, Russia has indeed turned from a country with a state monopoly and with a very narrow range of export opportunities into a country that is an exporter of many industries. And exports for our country, for any country — this is economic well-being. And export for every company that is engaged in it is well-being — for this company. Therefore, now the state is creating opportunities for self-realization for everyone who, having competencies, wants to invest these competencies in creating a product that will be competitive in foreign markets. also in the development of foreign economic skills, logistics competencies and financial calculation competencies that will help this product be successful in the markets,” Nikishina emphasized.
In turn, EFKO executive director Sergei Ivanov proposed an unexpected interpretation of export as a source of vital energy for the collective: “A possible reason for this phenomenon is the special spatial thinking of the Russian person, which at one time became the source of both the development of Siberia and Russian cosmism. Today this is continued in that export victories of domestic producers are always perceived positively, even by competitors. And EFKO’s practice shows that export works well as an element of social “gluing” both within the company and within the industry.”
In addition, he voiced new approaches to understanding of capitalism, which was presented this year at the impact summit in African Rwanda and which laid the foundation for the company’s new African project to build several factories and train personnel on the basis of the Academy of African Leadership.
Export Day was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development Russia and REC
