VORONEZH, May 14. A young man and two minors were taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder sabotage on the railway in Voronezh, the Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported on Tuesday in its telegram channel.
«»It was established that on the evening of May 1, 2024, a group of people, while on the Somovo-Otrozhka section of the South-Eastern Railway in the Voronezh region, set fire to a relay cabinet for signaling, centralization and blocking. However, they did not complete their actions due to independent circumstances, as they were caught by an eyewitness during the arson, after which they fled,” the report says. 
The attackers were soon identified and detained. A case of attempted sabotage committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy was opened against a 19-year-old young man and two minors.
«It was also established that the specified offense was committed by them through a messenger at the direction of a previously unknown person who actively supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the request of the investigator in court, all three were given a preventive measure in the form of imprisonment guards,» the message says.
The investigation is establishing all the circumstances of the incident, and also checking the involvement of the defendants in “other illegal acts.”
