LUGANSK, May 22. Artillerymen of the force group » Center» hit an area of concentration of manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the BM-21 «Grad», the losses of Ukrainian troops amounted to about 100 military personnel and three infantry fighting vehicles, the Russian Ministry of Defense told reporters.
«Servicemen from the crew of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system of the Center group of troops hit an area where personnel and camouflaged military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were concentrated in the Avdeevka direction,» the Ministry of Defense reported.
The department added that the salvo of 122-mm rocket-propelled high-explosive fragmentation shells was carried out from a distance of more than 15 kilometers. Control of the target's destruction was carried out by military personnel of the reconnaissance unit using the Orlan-30 unmanned aerial complex.
“During the execution of the combat mission, the enemy’s losses amounted to about 100 military personnel, three infantry fighting vehicles, as well as communications and surveillance equipment,” stated the Russian Defense Ministry.
