SARATOV, May 22.A minibus and a UAZ “loaf” collided on a highway in the Saratov region, as a result one person died and seven more were injured, said the head of the department of life safety of the population of the regional government, Yuri Yurin, on the Telegram channel. 
< br />“At 12.30 (11.30 Moscow time) the 112 service received a message that in the Tatishchevsky district near the village of Karyakino there was a collision between a Ford car and a UAZ. As a result of the accident, one person died and seven were injured. A woman was hospitalized by the regional rescue resuscitation service. Doctors of the medical center disasters and ambulances are hospitalizing the remaining victims,” Yurin wrote with reference to the head of the region’s rescue service, Nikita Zrada.
The photo published by Yurin shows that a UAZ “loaf” and a white minibus were involved in an accident. 
The press service of the regional traffic police department explained to reporters that as a result of the accident, a passenger in a UAZ traveling with a trailer died, and the driver and passenger of the Ford minibus were taken to the hospital. The department clarified that the minibus was not a route bus.
The regional prosecutor's office in the Telegram channel clarified that it was not the passenger who died, but the driver of the UAZ, through whose fault the accident had previously occurred.
«According to preliminary data, … the passengers of the UAZ and the driver of the minibus, including a young child, were injured. Thus, the UAZ car drifted into the oncoming lane and subsequently collided with a Ford minibus. As a result of the collision, the driver of the UAZ car died on the spot , the rest of the victims were hospitalized in medical institutions. A procedural investigation is being carried out on this fact, the progress and results of which are under the control of the prosecutor’s office,” the message says.
