DONETSK, May 24. The driver of the car was wounded on Friday during shelling of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian troops, the mayor of the city Alexey Kulemzin reported on the Telegram channel.
«According to preliminary data, as a result of enemy shelling of the Petrovsky district on Saltykova-Shchedrin Street, the driver of the Donakva car, born in 1986, was wounded. The victim was taken to a medical facility with shrapnel wounds to the back, abdomen and both feet,» the mayor wrote.
Earlier, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have fired 11 155-mm caliber shells into the area, six of them are cluster-type.
Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, it is the most distant part of the city from the center. Since 2014, when the DPR declared independence from Kyiv, this area has regularly come under fire from Ukrainian security forces.
