The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined Ilya Andreev, the former host of the Silver Rain radio station, two thousand rubles under a protocol for demonstrating “extremist symbols.” This was reported by the telegram channel “Caution, News” with reference to Andreev.
The court decision states that on January 16, an employee of Center “E” found a post on the radio host’s Instagram with an image of the symbols of the “extremist LGBT organization” — a rainbow flag. Andreev published a video with the flag, filmed in Spain, on January 5.
Andreev told “Caution, news” that he learned about the court decision by accident when he went to the government services website. He created the Instagram account, because of the post in which the radio host was fined, after he was expelled from the HSE master’s program and left Russia after the ban on the “international LGBT movement.” In his profile, Andreev does not indicate his connection with Russia and publishes in English. About 280 users are subscribed to it.
