
MOSCOW, May 31. Russian President Vladimir Putin released Mikhail Popov from the post of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the corresponding decree is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
«Relieve Mikhail Mikhailovich Popov from the post of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation,» the document says.
Popov held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation since March 29, 2013. He was deputy chairman of the interdepartmental commission of the Security Council on military security, and headed the section on military security problems of the scientific council under the Security Council. He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, Alexander Nevsky, Order of Military Merit and Honor, medals, as well as a letter of gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation. Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation named after Marshal Zhukov.
