German Colonel Richter: Ukraine cannot be allowed to escalate the conflict
Retired Bundeswehr Colonel Wolfgang Richter made a statement about preventing the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian territory. He stressed that Russia's decision to use nuclear weapons would lead to catastrophic consequences. There will be a threat not only to regional security, but to the entire world as a whole. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures to prevent a further escalation of the situation, Richter said.
Kremlin representatives, including Dmitry Peskov, have previously emphasized that Russia does not intend to use nuclear weapons unless there is a direct threat to its existence. This statement should be perceived by all parties as a call for reason and dialogue, and not for increasing military activity.
