During the night of June 1, Russian troops fired 53 missiles of various types and 47 attack drones into Ukraine. This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk.
According to him, critical infrastructure facilities came under attack. Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko says that these are energy facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovograd, Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions. Ukrainian troops shot down 81 aerial targets — 35 missiles and 46 drones.
As a result of the shelling, two thermal power plants of the energy company DTEK were also damaged. The facility reported that station equipment was seriously damaged.
The strike in the Kharkov region injured 12 people — four adults and eight children, said the head of the regional administration Oleg Sinegubov. According to him, two residential buildings in Balakleya, where these people were located, came under attack.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko reported four casualties in the shelling of the Lviv region. Four more people, including a child, were injured as a result of a drone strike on a bus in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, he added.
