A fire broke out at an oil refinery in Ukhta, according to the telegram channel of the administration of the Komi Republic.
The fire occurred in one of the tanks; 74 Emergency Situations Ministry employees and 22 pieces of equipment are working on site.
The local agency Kominform and telegram channels Shot and Baza also write about the fire at the Lukoil-Ukhtaneftepererabotka plant.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports three casualties. At the same time, sources from Baza, Shot and “112” said that as a result of the fire, two employees of the company’s contracting organization died, and another employee was hospitalized in serious condition.
Cominform also reports two deaths, but the state agency emphasizes that this information has not been confirmed.
Baza claims that the drone attack version is not being considered. Later, the head of the republic, Vladimir Uyba, wrote about the same thing: “I want to immediately reassure the residents of Ukhta and Komi — the fire is not related to attacks by enemy unmanned vehicles.” According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a violation of technical safety rules.
