The investigation has tightened the charges against the anarchist Ruslan Sidiki, who was arrested in the case of explosions in the Ryazan region

Anarchist Ruslan Sidiki, who was arrested in the case of explosions in the Ryazan region, has had his charges increased, reports the human rights project “Solidarity Zone”.

Sidiki, who has Russian and Italian citizenship, was detained in December 2023 at a Moscow airport Vnukovo. Security forces linked the 36-year-old man to an explosion on the railway on the morning of November 11, which derailed 19 carriages of a freight train, and to a drone attack on the Dyaghilevo military airfield on the night of July 20.

In addition to two episodes under the article on terrorist attack and two episodes under the article on production explosives as part of an “organized group”, Sidiki was also accused of preparation for another explosion on the railway near Ryazan in November 2023 and for creating an explosive device.

Now he has also been charged under articles of undergoing training in terrorist activities (205.3 of the Criminal Code) and of trafficking in explosives by an “organized group” together with “unidentified persons from among representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine” (Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, the anarchist was recruited in Istanbul in February 2023 by a Ukrainian military intelligence officer, he “underwent sabotage training in Latvia” and returned to Ryazan in March.

Sidiki partially admitted guilt, but refused call your actions a terrorist attack. “His goal was to damage military infrastructure,” notes the Solidarity Zone. — Sidiki carried out his actions in such a way as to avoid harm to people. The article on terrorism training carries a penalty of up to life imprisonment.
