More than 300 companies and organizations under our protection, as well as the resources of Rostelecom, were subjected to massive attempts at DDoS attacks,” said Lyapunov .
The head of the company explained that the peculiarity of the current wave of cyber attacks is that hackers are constantly changing techniques and approaches, which complicates protection. «For our part, we are keeping our finger on the pulse and strengthening security measures… This year, given the aggravation of the political situation, the confrontation will clearly be much tougher, and the surge in cyber attacks on significant Russian infrastructure, which we are already seeing, only confirms this forecast «, he commented.
Lyapunov recalled that last year the company repelled a cascade of DDoS attacks at SPIEF, including an online broadcast during the speech of the Russian President. Malicious activity was then carried out from hundreds of thousands of IP addresses, and the maximum capacity reached 50 thousand requests per second.
