MOSCOW, June 5. The tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai, was illuminated on Wednesday with an image of the logo of the Russian T-Bank, which is now the name of Tinkoff Bank, the lending institution reports. 
The name «T-Bank» glowed on the building for several minutes. At the same time, the Ostankino Tower was illuminated in Moscow. 
“Now we have a new long-term strategy — and new challenges. The key is international development. We know that sooner or later we will scale up in international markets. Therefore, including in this paradigm, we have really been looking for a new sound for our brand for a long time , relevant for the evolution of our business in recent years,” said Stanislav Bliznyuk, chairman of the bank’s board of directors, in an interview with Vedomosti.
Earlier on Wednesday, TKS Holding announced a new stage in the development of the brand — Tinkoff was renamed T-Bank. The group's statement notes that the brand update will take place gradually. At the first stage, the website and application will be changed, and later — all legal names, card and ATM designs, and envelope design. It is also indicated that all products and services will continue to operate as usual. The company's legal entity is currently called Tinkoff Bank JSC, but gradually it will also be called by a new name, TKS Holding added.
