ST. PETERSBURG, June 5 Unknown persons attacked a woman with a knife in a private house in the village of Komarovo in St. Petersburg; a criminal case of attempted murder has been opened, the city's main department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.
“It has been previously established that unknown persons attacked a woman with a knife in the village of Komarovo in a private house… The investigative department for the Kurortny district… opened a criminal case for attempted murder by a group of persons associated with robbery (part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “g”, “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the message says. 
The Main Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation does not provide personal information about the victim, but a source in law enforcement agencies reported that the victim of the assassination attempt was Galina Shamakhova, the wife of Vladimir Shamakhov, former director of the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
According to some regional media and Telegram channels, the woman herself called the police and medics, she was hospitalized in Hospital No. 40 in the Kurortny District. Her condition is assessed as stable.
