Astronomers said whether anything threatens the Earth
On June 3, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will be located not far from each other in the night sky. Astrophysicists call this phenomenon a “planetary alignment,” but informally this phenomenon is sometimes called a “parade of planets.” Because almost all of the solar system's planets will be close together, the June 3 event is called the «major alignment.» Astrologers have traditionally stated that the “parade of planets” can influence humanity.
Most often, astrologers claim that a parade of planets can influence people, making them more emotional. Also, sometimes there are more «scientific»-looking statements that the combined gravity of the «lined up» planets will cause earthquakes and other natural disasters on Earth.
The main mechanism that makes it possible to “be convinced” that the parade of planets and other astronomical phenomena of this kind influence behavior is not even related to astrophysics, but to psychology. It's about «prejudice bias.» People who are initially inclined to believe astrologers will pay attention to the facts that confirm the words of pseudoscientists, and ignore the rest. For example, they will explain the behavior of their acquaintances as a parade of planets, even if on another day the same behavior simply did not attract their attention.
The parade of planets directly influences the mood of astronomy lovers themselves — upon hearing that they will experience those or other emotions, people will “instill” these emotions into themselves, expecting them from themselves.
As for the influence of the gravity of the planets during their alignment, scientists emphasize that it will be insignificant and will not be capable of anything neither happened on Earth.
It is curious that on Earth, almost simultaneously with the parade of planets, it may find itself in a cloud of solar plasma, which can cause magnetic storms. But these events are not interconnected, and an attempt to connect them with each other is a manifestation of the above-mentioned “prejudicial bias.”
The only large celestial bodies capable of objectively influencing the Earth with both their gravity and light are the Sun and Moon.
