MINSK, June 6, Sergei Fuks.Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov will sign a contract with the French Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days, head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin told reporters.
«»We exchanged a few words with Safonov. He said that yes, he passed the medical examination. The contract, as I understand it , will be signed in the coming days,” Karpin said.
Previously, the media reported that PSG would arrange Safonov’s transfer in June. According to sources, Safonov has already flown to Paris to undergo a medical examination, and the amount of the potential deal will be about 20 million euros.
Safonov is a graduate of Krasnodar, his debut for the main team took place in August 2017. His current agreement with the Bulls runs until January 31, 2029. He has 13 matches for the Russian national team. The goalkeeper's cost, according to the Transfermarkt portal, is 18 million euros.
