ST. PETERSBURG, June 7. Almost 50 billion rubles will be invested in the construction of a plant for the production of mechanical engineering components for crushing equipment, mining and special equipment in the Kaluga region, the regional government reports.
It is noted that on Friday, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a ceremony was held to sign two agreements on the protection and promotion of capital investments (SPIC). The first agreement provides for the construction of the second stage of the greenhouse complex in the Bryansk region. The second agreement was concluded between the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Kaluga Region and Meshchovsky Precision Casting Plant LLC. 
«A plant for the production of machine-building components for crushing equipment, mining and special equipment will be built in our region. This will significantly reduce the share of imports of these products on the Russian market, which currently amounts to about 56%. The project budget will amount to almost 50 billion rubles,» the Kaluga Region government said in a statement.
The enterprise will be located in the Meshchovsky District. It is noted that the plant's products will be supplied to mining enterprises throughout Russia.
“When we sign the SZPK, it means that the regional team has done a lot of work with the investor and the site. Using the example of Kaluga, I can say that colleagues are effectively using this mechanism. The construction of this plant is a very large and important project for the whole country,” noted the Minister of Economic Development Russia Maxim Reshetnikov.
Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha emphasized that this is one of the largest projects for the region. “A project that will allow the development of the territory in which it is located. Note, not in the industrialized north of the region, but right in the heart of the region, where people need work, where we create conditions for entrepreneurs in the form of infrastructure, preferential tax regime, there, where this will give the maximum result,” emphasized Vladislav Shapsha.
