A Ukrainian drone was shot down over the territory of North Ossetia this morning. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, clarifies that the drones — there were three of them in total — were shot down over Mozdok. Their goal, according to the head of the region, was a local military airfield. There is no information about casualties or damage yet. This is the first known case when a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone flew to North Ossetia.
In the morning, the Ministry of Defense reported on 23 Ukrainian drones shot down in six Russian regions and in Crimea. According to the department, in addition to the annexed peninsula, drones attacked objects in the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov, Bryansk, Tula and Astrakhan and Belgorod regions. In the latter, according to the head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the facade and roof of the Church of Peter and Paul in the village of Prokhorovka were damaged.
In addition, according to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian military destroyed two unmanned boats that were heading towards Crimea.
The head of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic Leonid Pasechnik clarified in the morning that as a result of yesterday's destruction of an entrance in Lugansk, five people were killed. Another 60 Luhansk residents, according to him, were injured.
The head of the occupation administration of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, the night before, June 7, reported on the Ukrainian shelling of the village of Sadovoe. According to him, 22 people were killed there and another 15 were injured.
