In the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, on June 9, a GAZ-66 truck with black license plates broke through the border with Hungary and moved into the territory of the neighboring country. There, border guards detained several dozen Ukrainians. Details are published by the Ukrainian edition of TSN.ua.
Local journalist Vitaly Glagola reported about the strange event, citing sources.
Border guards found a trail of traces from a vehicle on the control strip, which indicated to cross the state border in the area of the 225th border sign. A patrol was sent to the scene to search for violators.
The journalist also writes that video cameras recorded how a GAZ-66 truck with black supposedly military license plates “4736 A1” was moving from the field road through the field towards the border. However, an inspection showed that this vehicle was not registered with military units and turned out to be non-military. The offenders later left the car on the Hungarian side, and all the passengers fled, but not far away.
A few hours later, the Hungarian police announced the detention of 32 people on the outskirts of the village of Barabash. The State Border Service has already confirmed this incident. In a comment to Ukrayinska Pravda, State Border Service representative Andriy Demchenko noted that the Hungarian side has not yet handed over the detainees to Ukraine.
In addition, Ukrainian border guards detained several individuals who may be involved in the illegal movement of these individuals across the border. Filtration and verification measures are being carried out with them.
For now, these are all the details about the detention of 32 Ukrainians. Whether all of them are men liable for military service, or whether this topic does not concern military conflict at all, is unknown, the author of the article notes.
