MOSCOW, June 13. The government and the Russian Academy of Sciences have prepared a list of the most important science-intensive technologies for the country, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council on Science and Education.
“
"In fact, these are direct specific tasks for domestic science, the education system and technology business. Moreover, literally everything depends on the solution of these tasks—everything without exaggeration: the implementation of our current plans, ideas, aspirations, and, of course, the historical, without any exaggeration, historical prospects of the Russian state. “I say this without unnecessary pathos or exaggeration,” he emphasized.
The President noted that all fundamental scientific groundwork should be developed and allow new industries and markets to be formed in Russia. To this end, the country is preparing to launch national projects of technological sovereignty. According to the head of state, Russia's entire potential in this area must be gathered into a single fist, and the dispersion of forces and resources in this situation is unacceptable. When forming technological national projects, it is necessary to outline clear requirements for the final results, as well as provide for strict deadlines for implementation, he noted.
Putin added that the work of scientists within the framework of technological national projects will for the first time be subordinated to the achievement of national development goals.
“In the context of sanctions and growing technological competition, the contribution to the common cause of every scientific institute, every research team, every academician, professor, researcher, graduate student is in demand,” he noted.
The head of state also said that the mechanisms for financing science should be flexible.
““What is needed here is not bureaucratic formalism, but clarity, clarity, transparency and objectivity, so that scientists clearly understand the prospects and can make long-term plans,” he noted .
The President asked to submit specific proposals for the participation of business in the development of domestic science.
Putin added that Moscow will develop international scientific cooperation, despite attempts to prevent this from abroad. He also touched upon the topic of mega-grants, noting that the expansion of this program will attract good foreign specialists to Russia and support Russian scientists.
