A native of Tajikistan, Karim Normatov and the rest of the defendants in the case of mass poisoning of people with ready-made food in several regions of Russia acted by prior conspiracy. They produced 2,336 servings and sold the poison through an online store. Footage of the meeting at which the cook was arrested was published by the press service of the Moscow City Court on Wednesday, June 19.
According to investigators, the scheme worked like this: the Savon-K cook and other defendants, by prior conspiracy, violated security requirements and produced about 2,336 servings of the Lobio dish. They successfully packaged them and delivered the poison to an unlimited number of people using an online store.
Earlier it became known that as a result of violations of safety requirements, more than 120 people were injured, who managed to eat the poisoned “Lobio”. They were hospitalized in hospitals in Moscow and the Moscow region with botulism — 30 of them are in intensive care.
On Wednesday, reports also appeared about the hospitalization of the famous actor Alexei Bardukov, who played one of the main roles in the TV series “Saboteur,” with botulism in Moscow. The young man felt ill at home after eating ready-made food. The doctors decided to take him to the hospital.
