MOSCOW, June 19 Russian pianists Lev Bakirov and Kirill Rogovoy became the winners of the Grand Prix of the international competition for young pianists Grand Piano Competition, the press service of the competition reported.
The laureates of the competition (seven pianists from Russia and China) and diploma winners (six pianists from Russia, Australia, Kazakhstan, Switzerland and China), in addition to the title and prize, were also awarded special prizes — invitations to perform at concerts and festivals, interviews and People's Choice Award.
Kirill Rogovoy received a solo concert as part of the project “Art Unites the World. Boundless Pushkin” from the BRICS program in Kazan. Vladimir Rublev was invited to take part in the gala concert of the VII Open Air Music Festival «Summer. Music. Museum» at the New Jerusalem Museum. Varvara Zarudneva gave an interview for the magazine «Musical Life». Tzuyu Shao received the People's Choice Award.
Among other special prizes are participation in Denis Matsuev’s festivals “Stars on Baikal”, “Crescendo” and “Denis Matsuev Presents: Dialogue of Generations”, performance in projects by Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Spivakov, as well as solo concert at the Central Music School — Academy of Performing Arts and professional video recording on the CMS Records label.
