The Tula Regional Court sentenced to 12 years in prison a 28-year-old resident of the city of Donskoy, accused of sabotage due to the arson of a relay cabinet. This was reported by the press service of the court. As Myslo writes, we are talking about Vladislav Shubin.
The court found that Shubin had a “negative attitude” towards the Russian invasion of Ukraine and, after it began, began to “actively” monitor what was happening on telegram. From there, the Tula resident learned about a terrorist association recognized in Russia and joined a group associated with it, where he received assignments from an unknown person.
Later, “due to a negative attitude towards the SVO,” Shubin set fire to a relay cabinet on the railway in order to disrupt the supply of the Russian army and stop the transportation of passengers on the track section of the Moscow Railway station, they told the court.
The man was sent the coordinates of the closet by a person with whom he corresponded via telegram. After the arson, Shubin sent him a video of the fire.
A case was opened against a Tula resident due to the arson of equipment at the 363rd kilometer of the Bobrik-Donskoy — Granki section, writes Myslo. According to the Shot telegram channel, in November 2023, Shubin opened the relay cabinet with a pry bar, doused it with flammable liquid and set it on fire. The equipment was destroyed, but train traffic was not affected.
Shot also reported that they promised to pay the man about 20 thousand rubles for arson, but after the incident, the people with whom he corresponded stopped communicating.
Shubin will spend the first three years of his sentence in prison, the rest in a maximum security colony. According to the court, he admitted guilt.
