Kommersant newspaper with reference to a statement from the Chinese Wison New Energies, which is responsible for the construction of modules for the Arctic LNG-2 gas project, reports that the company from the People's Republic of China has refused to work in the Russian Federation and intends to terminate all current projects and stop participating in new ones.

Wison's publication states: that the corresponding decision is explained by concern for the strategic future. The company emphasized that they are aware of the impact their actions can have on partners, so Wison promises a “smooth transition.” The contract with Wison, which is engaged in engineering services, shipbuilding and green energy, was signed in 2019 through the French Technip.

It is noted that the Arctic LNG-2 project implemented by Novatek came under restrictive restrictions at the end of last year measures on the part of the United States, due to which it was unable to begin shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on time and declared force majeure.
