MOSCOW, June 24 VTB plans to open 300 new offices in the next three years, and the first offices in new regions of Russia will be opened this year, said the head of the bank Andrey Kostin.
““We want to open 300 new offices over these three years, of which 200 are in places where we are not present today — these are mainly in small and medium-sized cities,” he said during a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kremlin.
Kostin assured that offices will open in new regions this year. By the end of the three-year period, the bank plans to have offices in all 89 regions of the country.
“Today our bank covers 50 million citizens with its network, in three years we plan that there will be 100,” he added.
The head of VTB also noted that a decision had been made to merge the Crimean subsidiary bank RNKB, which currently serves more than 2.5 million clients and about 100 thousand small and medium-sized businesses.
“The Crimean region is developing rapidly, so from the new year we will now have VTB instead of RNKB directly present in Crimea,” Kostin concluded.
