Last weekend, the second stage of the Russian Endurance Racing Series took place at the Moscow Raceway. The four-hour marathon started in the evening, and the crews finished at dusk. After practice runs and qualifications, some of the crews dropped out of the race for technical reasons, and 16 participants took to the start.
The Sportcar Racing Team, with the support of its title partner — the ROLF motor oil brand, fought for victory in one of the most numerous classes — GT, where the main competitors were pilots driving Mercedes-AMG GT4 and Toyota Supra GT4.
Endurance racing is always a serious test not only for the pilots and the car, but also for the entire team. After all, it is the coordinated work of all participants that helps achieve results. And, of course, a little luck.
The first two segments of the race took place in difficult conditions, because even with a comfortable outside temperature of +20 degrees, the temperature in the car reached +50. However, the team pilots in the Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport RS showed a stable pace throughout the 4-hour marathon, and the mechanics flawlessly carried out 3 mandatory pit stops, which allowed them to win back precious seconds and increase the gap over their closest rivals.

The crew of the Sportcar Racing Team managed to finish with a good advantage of about 40 seconds over their closest rivals, became the winner in the GT class and took the second step of the podium in overall standings. In addition, the first two stages of the Russian Endurance Racing Series Championship were held as the Moscow Championship, and the points scored allowed the team to become the Silver medalist of the Moscow Championship.
