WASHINGTON, June 22 The US military command has decided to return home the aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower, which has been in the Red Sea since 2023 amid the worsening situation in the Middle East, an unnamed person said Pentagon official to USNI News.
“It’s time to bring them home,” he said, commenting on Washington’s decision to return the aircraft carrier back to the United States. 
The publication's interlocutor added that the decision on the aircraft carrier, which is one of the oldest ships of the US Navy, was made by Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin.
“Dwight Eisenhower,” who also has a common nickname in the United States, “Ike,” has been in the region for more than eight months.
According to the publication, this time exceeded the duration of deployment of any other American aircraft carrier over the past five years.
It is still unknown which aircraft carrier will arrive in the region as a replacement. «Theodore Roosevelt», currently located in California on the West Coast of the United States, as well as «Harry Truman», located on the East Coast, are being considered as one of the options.
