The study showed which products in Russia have fallen in price the most

MOSCOW, July 3Eggs, buckwheat and chocolate have fallen the most in non-chain retail in Russia since the beginning of this year, while butter and juices, on the contrary, have increased in price, it follows from materials available from the IT company «Evotor».
“According to the Evotor index, since the beginning of the year, average prices for products in non-chain retail have increased by 2% compared to January 2024. Juices and cocoa have increased in price the most since the beginning of the year, and buckwheat and eggs have fallen in price. … They have decreased since the beginning of the year, average prices for: chocolates, semi-finished meat products and spices — by 1%, kefir — by 2%, chocolate bars — by 3%, buckwheat — by 4%, and eggs — by 8%,» it was calculated there .

It is noted that prices for juices, nectars and fruit drinks have increased the most over the past six months — by an average of 16%. Breakfast cereals rose in price by 11%, and butter by 10%.

The average prices for oatmeal (rolled oats) also increased by 8%, and for bottled water by 6%. Sugar caramel and sweets, children's juice drinks, in turn, increased in price by 5%, and pasta, milk, instant coffee and preserved fish — by 4%.
Within the framework of the indices, Evotor analyzes average prices for 269 stock keeping units (SKU) from food categories, 141 SKU from the alcohol category, 87 SKU from the cigarettes category, 57 SKU from the non-food consumer goods subcategories presented in non-chain retail stores in all regions.
Last week, Rosstat reported that weekly inflation in Russia for the period from June 18 to 24 was 0.22%, since the beginning of the year — 3.82%. At the same time, in May, inflation in annual terms was at the level of 8.3%. According to the review of the Ministry of Economic Development, in the food segment, prices in the week from June 18 to 24 increased by 0.25% (for fruit and vegetable products — by 1.4%, for other food products — by 0.15%). In the non-food segment, prices for the period June 18-24 increased by 0.15% against the backdrop of rising prices for electrical and household appliances.
