PERM, July 3 Investigators will check the data on the injury of a passenger when the conductor disembarked from the Ulan-Ude — Moscow train onto the reinforcement of the reconstructed platform in the Perm region, reports the Central Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
According to the department, information appeared on social networks about the conductor of the Ulan-Ude – Moscow train disembarking passengers on an unintended platform that was under reconstruction. As a result, a 20-year-old young man injured his leg with reinforcement while descending from the carriage. It was clarified that the employees and the train manager did not help the victim. The passenger was forced to get to the hospital on his own, where he required surgery. A photo from the scene of the incident published on social networks shows a rusty metal pin sticking out of the young man’s foot, which was wearing a sneaker.
«The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Central Medical Inspectorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Aleksandrovich Perepelitsyn, to carry out an investigation into a report of a young man being injured while getting out of a carriage at a railway station in the Perm Territory,» the message says.
In public posts on social networks it is specified that the young man spent an hour and a half on the platform; a witness to the incident and his brother helped him get to the hospital. At the medical facility, the young man underwent an operation under anesthesia and a fitting with a diameter of 8 millimeters was removed from his leg. The incident occurred at the Chad station in the Oktyabrsky district.
