ANKARA, July 5 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after negotiations with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Astana expressed the hope that the Black Sea grain corridor will again become operational.
Earlier, the Turkish leader said that he had discussed with Vladimir Putin the idea of a new “grain corridor” through Turkey for needy African countries.
«For now we will work on the Russian section of the corridor: how far can we go, what kind of support will they give us? I believe that we will make the Black Sea grain corridor operational again thanks to the results we get in this direction,» — the Turkish leader told reporters on the plane upon returning from Astana.
