MOSCOW, July 6, Svetlana Bonopartova. Silver medalist of the Olympic Games 2022 in single skating, Alexandra Trusova said that the path after the sport of Evgeni Plushenko is closer to her than that of Alexei Yagudin.
“»I want to develop in different areas, but Evgeniy Viktorovich is closer to me (than Alexey Yagudin). I live for today. We have a song together with the girls. As for my second song, I don’t know yet, we haven’t done that. But I really love singing, but I can’t sing in public yet,” Trusova answered the question about her desire to develop in different areas, including in her musical career.
Trusova, who turned 20 in June, previously announced her imminent wedding to Makar Ignatov.
“»I immediately said yes. I don’t fully believe it yet, we are preparing for the wedding. I think the realization will come during the wedding. We will sew a dress to order, there will be a meeting about this later. There are deadlines. I can’t announce the date yet. It will be a little later than the skates in St. Petersburg (in early August),” Trusova said at a meeting with fans as part of the Moscow Sports Day, organized by the Moscow Sports Department, which takes place on July 6 at Luzhniki.
“I like the nickname “Russian Rocket”, it’s cool. Of course, this is motivation, I think I live up to this (nickname). Now I train, skate programs, work in shows. How can figure skating get boring? I don’t think I the same Trusova from the Olympics has changed a lot. At the moment I just like skating,” concluded Trusova.
